Lena is the Vice President at STE. Lena came to STE in 2005 after spending many years in the non-profit sector. Lena is also a graphic designer and is the person responsible for all of the print and web designs for STE. When she isn't creating something, Lena spends her time managing STE's finances, and planning for the future. In her spare time you can find Lena sitting at a poker table or hanging out with her family.
DeAnna specializes in Early Intervention and provides clinical direction to teams of therapists working with children under the age of 3. Through the years she has worked with children on the Autism Spectrum from age 2 to 22 in a variety of settings including in homes, public schools, community mental health agencies, and a Non-Public School for children with behavior disorders. She has worked in Behavior Analysis for over 8 years and has lived in both Hawaii and Vermont before settling in California. DeAnna can provide Functional Behavior Assessments, consultation, training, and individualized ABA based programs for students in public schools. Her goal is to help children of all abilities to be successful in the least restrictive environments. DeAnna is also a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
Tyra Sellers has been working with individuals with developmental disabilities, their families, and other professionals for 20 years. She has had the pleasure of working with individuals with a wide variety of developmental and intellectual disabilities, ranging in age from 3-65 years old. Most recently, she has focused on individuals with autism and severe problem behavior in homes and in public and non-public school settings. However, she has worked in group homes, adult day programs, and vocational settings. She received her M.A. in Special Education from San Francisco State and her J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law. Tyra received a Ph.D. in Special Education and Rehabilitation, with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis from Utah State University in May of 2011. She has been a Board Certified Behavior Analyst since 2003.
Casey Ludwick received her Master of Arts in Psychology with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis in 2005 from Western Michigan University. She has been working with children diagnosed with various developmental disabilities for 9 years. Casey has worked with children ranging in age from 18 months to 17 years in a variety of settings including in-home and various public and non-public schools. She has worked for non-public agencies and in the private sector serving families in the military. Casey’s responsibilities have included assessments (intake, Functional Behavior Assessments and Functional Analyses), consultation, staff training, data analysis, and individualized ABA programming and implementation for children with various developmental disabilities for early intervention as well as intensive behavior and social skills programs. Casey has been a Board Certified Behavior Analyst since 2005.
Joy has worked with children with autism for the past 6 years providing direct and consultative services in homes, center-based settings, and public school districts. She is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and has her Masters in Psychology. She will be receiving her PhD in Disability Disciplines, with a specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis, from Utah State University in May 2012. Although her passion is providing early intervention services to children with autism, she has enjoyed working with individuals with a variety of disabilities from 2 to 22 years-old.
Kristen has experience working with individuals with various disabilities across numerous environments including in-home, group homes, public schools and in community-based programs. She received her Masters of Arts in Psychology from Humboldt State University and is currently working on her Doctorate in Special Education with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis at Utah State University. Kristen plans on graduating in May 2012 and will continue her work in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis providing support for families because there is truly nothing better!
Deborah Sedberry, MD Deborah Sedberry, MD is a behavioral and developmental pediatrician, providing assessment, case management, and medication management for children with autism and their families.
Jennifer is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been working in the social service and mental health fields over the past 10+ years in various contexts with children, youth, and families, including schools, treatment facilities, foster homes, family homes, group homes, homeless shelters, and the child welfare and psychiatric care systems. She also has extensive crisis work experience. Her experiences within diverse homes and communities, and particularly the international volunteer work she has done (in Mexico and most recently in India where she volunteered in Mother Teresa’s home for the sick and dying as well as an orphanage with children with physical, mental, and developmental disabilities) has strengthened her ability to provide culturally sensitive treatment and services, and have added to her diverse cultural awareness and experiences. With each experience, her commitment and passion to social work and the importance of the mental and physical health and well-being of children is strengthened.
