Junior Therapist Openings

Job Description

A Junior Therapist must possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree - special education, applied behavior analysis, and psychology backgrounds are preferred. An average of 2 years experience working with children and/or persons with developmental disabilities. Candidates possess great communication skills, the ability to adapt to different kinds of children and, most importantly, the ability to pair themselves as a reinforcer with our clients and families.  A Junior Therapist works directly with clients using ABA Based Teaching Methods including: Discrete Trial Teaching, Errorless Learning, Applied Verbal Behavior, Pivotal Response Training, Natural Environment Training and Incidental Teaching.  A Junior Therapist is responsible for recording skill acquisition and behavioral data during each session as in addition to implementing teaching and behavioral protocols as prescribed by their Clinical Directors. Junior Therapists must be a collaborative and professional team player with a strong dedication to STE’s mission to provide the highest quality services for children with Autism. Board Certified Associate Analysts are given priority.

1:1 Behavior Aide Openings

A 1:1 Behavior Aide must possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years experience in Applied Behavioral Analysis and/or managing children with challenging behaviors. Behavior Aides are required to be available Monday through Friday during the entire school day to work with their client. This position is for the duration of the school year in the San Francisco Bay Area.

All of our clients have been diagnosed with developmental disabilities, primarily ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder). We need staff who are adept and trained to work with persons with disabilities, are comfortable dealing with challenging behaviors and are self-motivated. Additionally, effective communication skills and a willingness to be collaborative are essential.

All 1:1 Behavior Aides work directly with their clients and are responsible for the implementation of teaching and behavior protocols outlined in their client's IEP and/or as prescribed by their Clinical Director.  1:1 Behavior Aides are also responsible for recording skill acquisition and behavioral data on a daily basis. Other duties may be assigned as necessary dependent on a client's unique needs.

Clinical Director Opening

We need a rocking BCBA to join our team as a Clinical Director. STE Consultants provides behavior assessment, consultation and direct services to kids with developmental disabilities in the San Francisco Bay Area. We primarily work with school districts, regional centers and health insurance companies. The majority of our work is with children with autism between the ages of 2-10. Our Clinical Directors work in all of the different areas of our practice - running home-based programs, doing FBAs in schools, consulting in classrooms etc...We have our own training program and protocols for our staff and have one of the largest groups of BCBAs in the Bay Area. Anyone that works here needs to have a well developed sense of humor, love ABA and kids, enjoy working autonomously AND collaboratively and keen navigational skills (seriously, we drive EVERYWHERE).
